Insight Meditation (Vipassana) is a simple and direct practice that opens the heart and clears the mind. Insight Meditation mirrors the heart’s deepest longing to be free of suffering and its causes.
With the practice of insight Meditation, the breathing body becomes a refuge uniting increasing stillness with the immediacy of moment-to-moment awareness. As a result, the body begins to relax the residual stress of fear, aversion and general reactivity, that unconsciously builds up in the great lost-and-found department of our overwhelmed minds.
Sangha is a refuge. Joining others in Noble Silence restores trust and hope in human nature, and the vast field of breathing beings with whom we share this world. This perspective enhances greater ease and depth in the cultivation of compassionate awareness. This also awakens a sense of inner balance and practical wisdom that clarifies – that although we may not be able to change the world, we are able to experience greater confidence in our ability to change how we live in the world.
We invite you to join us on a regular or occasional basis. You will always be welcome!
